Hello!

I am Eveli Rayane, a visual artist, Master in Education, researcher of Brazil’s semi-arid region, and a naturalist of the Caatinga.

My practice emerges from the meeting point between art, territory, movement, and the sensitive observation of the tiny forms that bloom in the Caatinga. Through watercolor, graphite, field notebooks, and words, I develop original collections and visual narratives that reveal the delicacy, strength, and life cycles present in the backlands of Pernambuco.

My work begins with the act of moving through the landscape: walking, running, cycling, pausing, observing, recording, and transforming encounters with spontaneous flowers into image, memory, and permanence.

In this studio, I share original creations, field processes, botanical studies, books, patterns, and investigations that move across art, contextualized education, and the symbolism of territory.

More than representing species, I seek to cultivate presence and contribute to new ways of seeing the semi-arid region, shifting imaginaries of absence toward readings of color, abundance, resilience, and delicacy.

As a naturalist of the Caatinga, my gaze is devoted to the relationships between form, time, environment, and memory, understanding each species as part of a larger narrative of territory and the ways of life that flourish within it.

Each work is an invitation to slow down the gaze, recognize the smallness along the path, and realize that entire worlds are blooming where many have learned to see only dryness.

May delicacy inhabit your space, whether in an image, in a reading, or in the simple gesture of observing.
