This study of the Mariana flower was born in the field. During a cycling journey through the district of Pilar, in the municipality of Jaguarari, Bahia, through sensitive observation, photography, and small sketches made on site, the species gradually began to reveal itself in layers.
The drawing was developed in graphite on A3 paper, expanding the scale of the gaze and allowing for a deeper exploration of the rhythm, volume, and morphology of the branch with two flowers.
The final rendering took place in the studio, where the encounter experienced in the territory returned as gesture, memory, and permanence.

Between field and drawing, this work marks yet another passage within the Caatinga Field Journal.
